Formed in Berkeley, California in 1987, Operation Ivy burned fast and bright — releasing just one full-length album, Energy (1989), before disbanding in 1989 after barely two years together. That album became one of the most influential records in punk history, fusing ska rhythms with hardcore urgency in a way that felt completely natural and utterly electric. Out of Op Ivy’s ashes came Rancid, and their fingerprints can be found across decades of punk, ska-punk, and alternative music. The Gilman Street scene they helped define in the East Bay was a crucible for some of the most vital American punk of the late ’80s and early ’90s. Short-lived, massively influential, and still essential — Operation Ivy are proof that two years and one record can be enough to change everything.

Every OBK patch is embroidered on heavy-duty weatherproof canvas with a rigid plastic backing, using high-density 40wt polyester thread and satin stitch techniques that create rich, raised texture. Unlike woven or screen-printed alternatives, these patches are built to last on denim, leather, and canvas for years of hard wear.
